He Knows. He Cares. He’s Willing. He is Able.

Do you ever wonder if anyone really gets you? Does it ever cross your mind if anyone truly understands the weight we carry as firefighters, the thoughts we do or do not say, or the fears that might quietly grow in the background of our minds?

The truth of Scripture reminds us of one thing: our heavenly Father does.

He Knows You

"You have searched me, Lord, and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.
You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.
Before a word is on my tongue
you, Lord, know it completely."
— Psalm 139:1–4 (NIV)

God doesn't just know your name. He knows your personality, your thoughts, your desires, your fears because he purposefully designed you. Before a word is on your tongue, He already understands it. He knows every wound, every joy, every longing.

You are not hidden, our Lord sees you.

He Cares About You

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”
— 1 Peter 5:7 (NIV)

"Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows."

Luke 12:7 (NIV)

 

It’s one thing to be known—it’s another to be cared for. God doesn’t just analyze you like a number in a computer. He cares for you like a Father cares for His beloved child. He sees your stress, your sleepless nights, your inner battles—and He says, “Bring them to Me.”

You are not a burden to Him.

He Is Willing

“If you are willing, you can make me clean.”
Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!”
— Luke 5:12–13 (NIV)

This moment with Jesus and the man with leprosy reveals the heart and nature of God the Father, a father that wants to help his children. The man knew Jesus could heal—he just wasn’t sure if Jesus would. And Jesus made it clear: “I am willing.”

“If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

Jesus is not reluctant. He’s not standing off at a distance, waiting for you to prove yourself. He’s already moved with compassion like a loving father, rushing in to help his children.

He Is Able

“Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.”
— Jeremiah 32:17 (NIV)

“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us…”
— Ephesians 3:20 (NIV)

When we come to the Lord, we aren’t coming to someone limited by resources, time, or power. We’re coming to the One who made galaxies with His breath. No situation is beyond His reach. He is not only willing—He is able.

A Reminder

Take a moment today and let this truth sink in:

- God knows every detail about you.
- He cares about you more than you know.
- He is willing to step in and help with any detail of your life.
- He is able to do more than anyone can imagine.

So run to Him today—not with fear, but with confidence. You are seen. You are loved. You are in the hands of a loving God who is both all-powerful and personal.
